At an elite prep school in Gold Coast, Long Island, Jill Newman is getting ready to start her senior year without her BFF - because Shaila was murdered freshmen year by her boyfriend. Jill is still determined to make this year great. She's part of the Players, Gold Coast Prep's "secret" society, who rule the school. But just as the school year begins, Jill received texts claiming that someone else killed Shaila all those years ago.⁣

This was a quick-read and entertaining; however, it was very predictable. My 15 year old niece and I read it this past week and had the killer figured out about 150 pages in. It definitely took an element of the suspense away. We both liked it but it didn't blow us away.⁣

I was really intrigued by the concept. It reminded me a bit of Panic by Lauren Oliver (which I really liked).⁣

𝐒𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐞: I really dislike reading any detailed sexual scenes involving teenagers. Really cringey for me. ⁣
