This book is a murder mystery and it is suitable for advanced readers as well as beginners. The language is lucid, simple and comprehensible. A good book for somebody looking for girl friends' bonds. The atmosphere and mood of the book is peppy high-school kind on the surface with undertones of seriousness and mystery. The opening chapter gives the Vampire Diaries type vibes, when Elena returned to her school after the death of her parents. Here, a friend has died and the mystery is all about her unexpected death. You find cute-high school romance being sprinkled generously in the story. The characters are drawn as to be distinguished from each other although they are from the same age group. From mom-like caring friend to sarcastically talking friend, we get all kind of school goers here. Definitely a perky mystery it seems like.
