Gripped By the First Few Paragraphs

I wasn't sure I was going to like the book at first, but something still intrigued me enough to want to read the first impression. I'm glad I did - I was hooked within the first few paragraphs! I really like the voice of the novel, kind of "matter of factly" type that sounds like it's something giving me juicy gossip. If I was hooked on just those few paragraphs, I can't wait to see what the rest has in store!
