This book is seriously one of my favorites I've read from Bookishfirst this year. There is so much going on in it and the plot will keep you reading way into the night. The writing for me was solid and the characters were so well-developed, it all really helped to push this story to another level for me.

I specifically enjoyed the interactions between the two sisters. This part is so well-written and described in this book and really helps make it something special. With that, the sister's interactions with their mother are also very well done. Everyone just felt more real and complete versus being mere shells of characters that were annoying or not relatable.

It is also a very intriguing look at running as a sport and how that world is created and/or functions in high school. I have not read a lot of books featuring this plot device, so this was a refreshing read for that alone.

I highly recommend this one!
