For fans of running or cross country y’all would love this book. It’s hard for me to correctly rate these YA thrillers only bc I know they are geared towards high school age thriller readers so I try and keep an open mind that they will FEEL juvenile for that reason. That being said this is a perfect high school thriller! The story follows a pair of sisters who are DIE hard cross country runners (pun intended) aiming for college scholarships. The story is set in the adirondacks of NY in a little town that has a dark past of runners disappearing. Just when everyone feels the past is the past another runner goes missing! Is this a repeat of the past or is this something all together new?
The characters were likable the story plot fell a bit short of what it could have been. There was a lot of story of the past left unsettled and unexplained. But overall I did really like the book!
