This is an author I'm familiar with from a previous book, and since that one I enjoyed, I have higher hopes than usual for this book. It's dangerous to do sometimes because you set yourself up for disappointment, but good because you have an auto-read author. Based on the first look alone, I think this one will hold up to the previous novel in terms of engagement and interest.
