Wow! I'm so glad I got a copy of this book. This one made me feel like I was in high school all over again. The characters are relatable & reminded me of how it was back when I was in high school. Cam has a lot of things going for him, a good friend group, understanding mom, caring yet fun loving sister & the popular girl is dating him, but in secret. I want to dislike Karla just like I disliked so many popular kids in school, but it was hard to do. She was what you would hope they would be like in the end but not before she was like every popular person I've known. Mackenzie is what I would consider the wild card. She keeps everything close to the vest & uses fun quips & what seem like snarky comments as her personality. The other friends have a good minor storyline but I feel like Cam, Karla & Mackenzie are the main characters. I enjoyed the ending of the story because it wasn't your usual ending. I'd like to see more of these characters but if its a stand alone book that is fine too.
