This is a quick horrorish read that I would love to see on film! Best friends Neena and Josie will be off to college soon so they decide to spend a weekend hiking in the Pisaugh National Forest.

They are causal hikers sticking to a trail map, but things take a turn and they’ll have to rely on their instincts and friendship to survive! Simmering tensions lead to a detour off the trail and straight into a waking nightmare and then into something far worse.

They recall murders that took place in the area and as they are walking, Josie falls into a hole. As Neena runs for help, they are both confronted by two different men who wants to do harm.

The story is in two parts, the first part is Josie and Neena walking the trail conversing and it is a creepy setting. The second part is when the action takes place.

Thank you to Penguin Teen, BookishFirst, and the author for a gifted copy. This is my honest review.
