First things first, let's talk about the cover. The cover was perfectly creepy, great for setting the scene, made me think of Slenderman/boogeyman in the woods or some kind of supernatural haunting.

This book was not supernatural in nature, but it still was a good book. Tension is inevitable when two people are placed in a stressful situation, and that was definitely shown in this book. I like the idea of friendship (a relationship that could potentially reach the dedication of marriage) trying to tackle "for better or for worse".

The characters are likeable and the plot is easy to follow. The author definitely knows how to build up suspense and I can definitely appreciate that it didn't get dragged out (as some books I've read have done). It was a short read, but nonetheless a good read, especially for fans of suspense/realistic horror (as in not supernatural).
