So outlandish

I will be honest, I picked this book solely based on seeing the cover at the library! I was looking to read something scary!

The first 100 or so pages had a slow, progressing creepiness that kept we wanting to read more. Then ridiculous thing after ridiculous thing started happening and I just couldn’t appreciate it. I won’t spoil the end, but just know it’s so outlandish that it made me almost laugh! The ending also offered no real resolution. I’m not sure if that’s so the reader can make up their own theories or because there is going to be another book. It just really needed more.

Also, the banter between the two girls was really annoying. It just kept going and it didn’t add a lot to the story.

Plus I read the positive reviews on the back covering not realizing those were not for this book, but for her other book, “There’s someone inside your house.”
