I enjoy Stephanie Perkins writing style but this book felt both too slow and rushed. Almost everything that could make this book a "thriller" happens in the last 40 pages. Prior to that, it has a great story.

Two best friends getting ready to be separated by college decide to take one last adventure. Neither of them really wants to be there but as the book progresses, you see the cracks in their friendship start to trickle through. When night hits and the noises start, what could possibly go wrong? Apparently everything. From animals to getting lost to discovering secrets, the girls stick out the disastrous trip for the sake of each other. But when they notice that someone might be out there, it's all for one.

I wish there was a little more thriller because it would have received at least one more star. If you don't mind slow moving plot, the ending makes it worth reading through.
