Stephanie Perkins took quite the turn from writing her usual romance novels such as Anna and the French Kiss, Lola and the Boy Next Door, and Isla and the Happily Ever After, to writing bone-chilling novels such as There's Someone Inside Your House and now The Woods are Always Watching.

With all that being said, with a horror-style novel, you would expect the drama and spooky part to start immediately, or at least within the first few chapters. Unfortunately, nothing of interest happened with this book for the first few chapters, but once we finally got over that barrier of waiting for the exciting part of the book to happen, it finally got good.

The chilling and scary part of this book picked up and grabbed your attention and held it through the rest of this book. It was chilling, scary and most importantly bone-chilling and I would recommend it.
