When a Camping Trip Turns Deadly
If you want a reason to never go hiking then this is the perfect book! I love that from the very beginning we are in the forest. There is no long preamble to get to what we want to read about. I also love of from the very beginning we start to build a strong representation of the characters in our minds. They have clear personalities and this helped to bring the book to life and make the book more enjoyable to read by feeling like you know and understand the characters.
I also love the adventure/survival element that is interwoven into this thriller. The book has already done really well at setting up the scene and I can tell it will likely be a book where you are holding your breath because in your mind you feel like if you make noise then the killer will hear. I feel like the whole premise of this book and the way it is written would make a great movie.
I love the cover and the horror, spooky vibe it brings to the book. I not only think the picture of the dark looming words fits really well with the story but the lettering just screams danger. The more animated design of the forest makes me think it is a middle-grade book simply because of the design but I still really like it.
