This book is a tribute to female friendships of women whose husbands are the military. The author's writing flows so beautifully. It is writing that is honest and genuine. This is a talented debut. I adored this book—it gave a voice to sacrifices that too often go unrecognized in such a beautiful, nuanced way. I love reading a memoir that like that ends up going a different direction than I’d thought; I imagined that army wives would be some sort of way, but they all had their own depth & surprises beneath.it was really a great book. The wives is beautifully written. Army veteran I see how the woman have lived. I didn’t meet my husband until after the army. But I deal with all the effects that happened after war and after they come back to civilian life. So this book hit me a little different but I think it’s a good book . Took a few days to read..
