After reading the excerpt from this novel I knew I wanted to read it. I entered the raffle and won a copy before I looked to see where I could buy it. Once I had received the book I was so excited to begin reading it. This new novel by author Simone Gorindo titled simply “The Wives” cannot even begin to encapture all it contains within those two words. The way the life of a wife who is married to any soldier is extremely difficult to describe in complete detail because it encompasses so very many areas and difficulties not experienced by any other type of wife. This true story evolves around that premise and to any wife of a military service member the apt and detailed descriptions of the dedication, sacrifices and discipline needed to survive this type of life while trying to hold it all together emotionally is a story of truth, It is a story that needs to be read by all.
