I know I’m in the minority here, but this book just did not do it for me. I saw tons of 5 star reviews and everyone raving about this book, so, naturally, I just had to get my hands on it too.
I could have saved my time and effort.
It drug on. It was not very suspenseful at all in my opinion. And the “twists and turns you’ll never see coming” were easily predictable. I had it figured out fairly fast.
I feel like chunks of the book were drug out just to make it longer and could’ve been done away with completely. There was a side story in there that had nothing to do with anything and could’ve been completely cut out.
And the switching from past to present was not seamless or easy to follow. I kept having to stop and go back and reread sections and try and figure out what was going on.
I wouldn’t recommend this one, personally.
