I have to admit that I almost put this book down after the first few pages. I despise reading about helpless women who have been mistreated and ask for more especially when their anger turns to other women. This book seemed to be heading in that cliched direction. However it became apparent toward the end of Part One it was not. I also don't usually care for books that jump back and forth between time frames which this one does. I have to say I did not mind it here. I would say there are at least three twists that I didn't see coming. I might give it a second read to verify that every plot thread was tied up as well as it seems they all were right now. I will be recommending this book to everyone.
