So it's not often that I decide to pick up a thriller but I had read The Anonymous Girl and decided to pick this up being that it was by the same authors. This book started out pretty slow but promising and when you get to the middle, it starts getting really suspenseful being that there is a huge plot twist. After that plot twist, I think this book is grasping at straws to attempt to be suspenseful but it lacks anything remotely exciting. I had high hopes for this book and especially because of how much I liked the main character, Nellie, but I feel that after awhile her story just gets frustrating and I found it hard to pay attention to what she was feeling. In all honesty, this book had some great plot twists but lacked in certain areas such as building up the characters and keeping the reader's attention. I wouldn't say that this book is necessarily "suspenseful" but if you're into a few major plot twists you might want to give it a try.
