I love this book. I read some great reviews and I read some horrible reviews and here are my thoughts: a lot of the negative reviews I believe are because this book is called a psychological thriller and that’s not really what it is. It’s more of the way the story is unraveled that leaves you guessing at what will happen next or what is really going on, but once you finish it and receive the whole plot, you realize it’s a pretty basic story. The art is in the telling of the story.

There were many twists and turns most of which I did not guess, but again they are more of a “wow that’s clever I never would have thought of that” sort of a twist rather than an “omg I can’t believe that just happened I can’t put this book down” kind of twist.

This book follows our main character Vanessa as she seemingly stalks her ex husbands new, younger, soon-to-be wife, Nellie. A third of the way through the book you get your first plot twist that I personally didn’t see coming and the story continues to unfold. I think if you go into the book expecting a major page turner and thrilling suspense, you may very well be disappointed. But if you take the book as it is and spend the time uncovering all the details that have been stacked up, you will truly enjoy it.
