I was gifted this book by Bookish and I must say it was a whirlwind of a read! The ex wife Vanessa knew she started something that she needed to rectify. Emma always had an ulterior motive and Richard was a sick individual. Maureen, too much! I felt the book was a pretty good read but parts had me somewhat confused. It was clear why Vanessa stayed but she had an escape and knew how to execute it, why drag innocent people in when all you had to do was expose that inner rage. I really felt like the book was a bit confusing in the beginning. I really did not realize until I was half way through it that Nellie and Vanessa were the same people and that Kate was not a psychiatrist but an ex to Richard! Overall an ok read!
