This book was twisty and turny at every turn of the page. Even realizing that things are not as they appear at first glance, the true story still surprised me. Without giving too much away, I did realized that the husband and wife were not who we thought they were. When the twist happened, I was in a location where my full attention wasn't on the book. I had to reread that chapter a few times just to really figure out what just happened. It was surprising and yet realistic at the same time. I dislike books who's twist is so unrealistic, it kills the flow of the story. Once the twist happens, everything looks different. Things that didn't make sense before make sense now. Overall, the book was wonderful and I would recommend it.
