When I first heard about this book, I wasn’t particularly interested in it. I’d seen some pretty mixed reviews, and I tend to have very high expectations for a good thriller. But I caved and ended up reading this one when one of my favorite reviewers did so. And I ended up disappointed.
The main reason I didn’t enjoy this book was because it was very slow-paced. This novel is divided into parts, and the first part of this book was extremely slow-moving and not much happened. The only reason I kept reading was because I knew there was going to be a twist by part two, and when I wasn’t impressed by it, I knew this book wasn’t for me. The ending just further spiraled, and by the end, I was just upset that I had wasted money and time.
