Some people swear by beach read books, and while I do love reading when I go to the beach, my favorite time to read is sitting on the couch with a blanket, some coffee, and a chilly day. "The Wife Between Us" was a great book to do that with. It's hard to review a book that has so many twists and turns without spoiling anything so I am going to do my best to review and keep it spoiler free.

The book is broken up into parts and for the sake of the review, I am only really going to focus in on the first part. This should help you decide if it is something you would like to read.

The main characters are Vanessa - a recent divorcee who is trying to put her life back together after it spiraled since her divorce, Nellie - a preschool teacher and waitress who is newly engaged to Vanessa's ex-husband and Richard - the said ex-husband and new fiance of Nellie. Vanessa finds out that Richard is engaged again and you learn some pieces of her past marriage and how her life is now. When you get to Nellie's POV you see a young girl, getting wrapped up in a life of money and some potentially scary stalking. You don't get Richard's POV but he is a huge factor for both women.

Is this a book that made me fall in love with the characters and want to spend hours and hours discussing them? No. Is it a fast-paced, enjoyable read that I found was a good way to spend my Sunday? Absolutely. Some of the twists had surprised me and had me turning the pages back a bit to re-read to make sure I had it right. All in all, it was a fun read.
