I am an avid reader, with my favorite genre being mystery with strong female leads. I’ve encountered a lot of twists through reading about 50 mysteries a year, so I’ve seen it all.... or so I thought.
This book started off like any other mystery book involving a marriage. There’s an unreliable narrator, what felt like a jealous and angry ex wife, and a man in the center of it.
There are two women in this story...... at least initially. One, a young beautiful woman who appears to be getting everything she’s ever wanted- a happy life, a handsome and successful husband, and a stable and happy marriage. The other, a slightly unhinged, obsessive woman watching her ex husband spending a life with a new, young, beautiful woman.
This book takes you on a journey. What started as a predictable book, turned into a VERY different book with twists you never see coming. It’s hard to summarize the story without giving away spoilers, because the twists are that integral into the overall story. Its phenomenal and a book that’ll keep you thinking for a very long time.
