A bit of a let down, tbh

I'll be completely honest. I never heard of this book until it was offered up on Bookishfirst (didn't win that raffle though). That surprised me since it definitely sounded like a book that would be right up my alley yet no one I knew was raving about it or bringing it up. My decision to read this largely came because of me aforementioned interest in books of this genre.

"The Wife Between Us" by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen tells us to assume nothing. The unreliable narrator certainly helps to make it a little less predictable. Unfortunately, though, it was far too predictable to me for even an unreliable narrator to skew. Assuming nothing mattered not.

It's disappointing to read about characters like this to be perfectly honest. And the overall plot wasn't anything to write home about. This was a book that was more of a let down to me than anything.
