I really wanted to read this book when I first learned about it, but the more I’ve read of it, the less I think I’m going to like it. I’m a big mystery lover and fan of psychological thrillers, but I think this book plays too many games with literary fads and devices instead of actually getting to the heart of character development, and that’s left me turned off.
