I realize Koontz is one of the current, most well-known authors, but I has previously never read even an excerpt of his writing. It took me a minute to pull myself into the story, but I really enjoyed his writing.
The writing style is easy to follow even though this is written in the "who done it" style of writing. I thought the whole premise of looking at government conspiracy, mental/physical health, and the dystopian "survival of the fittest' model made for an interesting story.
I enjoyed the short chapers, but even after the 10th chapter, my only criticism would be that I still do not feel like I really understand any of the characters as it has thus far been very plot focused.
However, all in all, it was still an interesting read and I would like to know what happens next.
