Alright well, I liked the first one okay, but this one was just really bland to me. I really wanted to see where this series was going to go. Unfortunately, I just really could not get into this book. I gave it a bit longer than I normally give books to see if it would get better. It didn't. I have seen other reviewers mention that it didn't really seem all that different than the first book, The Silent Corner and I suppose I tend to agree. Another thing that had me put it down to never be picked up again was the lack of anything really happening. It's very much just a chase-and-run style of book. There isn't a whole lot of new information added to this book and I honestly feel like reading it probably isn't necessary for the overall series, though I have no plans of continuing it if book 3 is the same.
