Dean Koontz is hands down the master of cranking up the suspense, tweaking the tension at an even pace, giving you thrilling twists and turns around every corner until you get to the heart of the mystery. This book is no exception. The first book in this new series was really good and I was worried that the next one might not be as good since sometimes that happens with series, starting strong and then guzzling out but from reading this little preview, I feel like it will be as good as the first, if not better. I love the heroine, Jane. She is no push over! I definitely want to read more and see what happens next!
