This book gripped me from the start and didn’t let go! I typically don’t find many thrillers that scary, but this one definitely delivered. The son hearing whispers, and the mysterious old carriage house had me nervous for the characters from the start. Plus, adding children to horror is always 10x creepier in my opinion! There is a definite sense of dread the whole way through. Very reminiscent of a Stephen King novel in that way of building the tension. A really unique and interesting take on a serial killer mystery that had just the right amount of twists and turns. Very interested to see if this will be optioned for a movie or t.v. show. I enjoyed every minute of tension and mystery leading up to the thrilling and satisfying conclusion. I definitely would recommend this to anyone looking for the next great thriller. It’s a book you won’t want to put down!
