Tragedy has occurred it Tom and Jake Kennedy’s lives already as they lost their wife and mother, respectively. They move to a new town hoping for a fresh start. But the town has recently had a devastating kidnapping case of a young boy Jake’s age. What ensues reads like a true crime podcast. As a true crime podcast and documentary junkie, I was hooked. This book had a gripping plot, amazingly well written characters, intricate and difficult relationships and an enemy, The Whisper Man. Jake starts hearing whispers outside of his bedroom window.
