This book was very well done. I finished this book late at night and felt myself looking around a little bit more when i took my dog out for her last potty. Very creepy. There were multiple pages where i had goosebumps, especially toward the end. This will be a great movie, and the rights have already been sold.
The story focuses on family dynamics: the impact having children has on people and the impact parents have on their children. And a bunch of kidnapping and searching for missing children.
There were several twists, one of which i pegged immediately but a few more that i didn’t. The only reason that i didn’t give it 5 stars is because i think i was expecting a little something different at the end with the way the final three chapters set things up. Hard to explain without giving anything away, but i just kept waiting for the other shoe to drop, i suppose. And in another way, i suppose it did. Just not in the way i was expecting. Highly entertaining - I’d recommend this to anyone who loves thrillers.
