Right from the beginning this book was creepy and disturbing. It's every parent's worst nightmare. I often find scary stories about kids tough to read, but even as a parent of a 9 year old boy, I enjoyed it a lot start to finish. I like the style of writing and I loved the different perspectives we got while reading. Sometimes that can feel redundant or choppy, but this author did it beautifully. It flowed while still leaving you in suspense from chapter to chapter. I also liked that the climax of the story was not about finding out who the kidnapper was, the author didn't draw that out too long like in some crime mysteries. Most of the excitement came after we found out who did it. It was a fun and creepy story. I'd recommend it to anyone no matter the genre preference.
