I was super lucky to receive an advanced copy of this book from Bookish First. This was the book that I was hoping to win, after reading the first impression and seeing other reviews on GoodReads. I also noticed that this book was chosen as a selection for an August Book of the Month. I finished reading this book in three days, and it was as creepy as all of the reviews promised.

Initially, the book reminded me of the movie, Hide and Seek. The main child character in the book, Jake, has an imaginary friend that he talks to, which creeps his dad out. His dad also notices him talking to "the boy in the floor" by using different voices to carry out the conversation. I was initially convinced that Jake had multiple personality disorder, but I will not give away the ending of the book.

If you are looking for a page-turning, creepy thriller, this is the book for you!
