I love police procedurals and The Whisper Man has set the bar really high for thrillers/police procedurals going forward! I cannot resist trying to figure out who the villain is in every mystery or thriller that I read. It has been a very long time since I did not figure it out ahead of time. I had a couple of guesses, but I was not even close.
Alex North is a fantastic writer and his character building was fantastic. I cannot wait for more of his work.
I would not say that this book falls into the horror genre for me, but I have a pretty high tolerance for horror. However, this book does bring the creep factor!
I heard a rumor that the UK edition has a different ending. I NEED to read that ending!
