This book was somewhat of a slow burn. The first one hundred pages or so had me contemplating putting the book down, but I pushed through since I am not one to stop reading books. Once it got past that point I could not put it down. The book had such a creepy atmosphere the last three-quarters of the book. I expect thrilling when reading any sort of thriller or detective procedural (this book had both), and I was not let down. The twist was excellent, and the end had me on the edge of my seat. The year of 2020 has not had many stand out reads for me. This one I can safely say is one of my favorites. It is also told from several viewpoints, which I am such a sucker for. It was not a thriller full of stereotypical tropes which I appreciated. This book I would recommend to anyone who appreciates creepy.
