As an avid lover of all books horror, I was very excited for this book. The Whisper Man even sounds spooky.

I was hooked in the beginning, feeling such sadness for the father, having to raise his unique son all on his own. Then there’s an encounter with a spooky man that literally reaches his doorstep.

When his son vanished, I was drawn into the world of parent and investigator.

What let me down was the ending. This story had built up so much for me, excitement and fear, and in the end it all crashed together in a matter of pages and left me desperately wanting more. I had so many questions and the answers given were nothing of the quality of the start of the book. I would strong question if I want to read another by Alex North.
