Not the creepiest but fun nonetheless
This book is sold as being really creepy or scary. It is at some points creepy, but I don’t think it was very scary. I think the strengths of this book are its twists and turns, as well as the story building in relation to the house, the child, and the killer. There is a subplot going on with the introduction of the former cop, I won’t spoil it, but it may seem a bit far fetched for some. I didnt really mind. There was one character in particular, a journalist, who I was really hoping didn’t turn out to be a liar. Either way, the creepiest part of this book was the ending. Goodness, I was really thinking it would make for a good sequel or maybe the backstory of these individuals would actually be pretty creepy. Reminded me of the pace of a criminal minds episode. You get the build up and see a bit of what’s going on the background then a chase and then the resolution
