This book was amazing. I love a good creepy story. I enjoyed the way the author presented the characters and told the story line through different perspectives as well as different timelines. The story of the serial killer in the past was important to the story and made you second guess what was going on in the current timeline. The main characters, Tom and Jake, are trying to escape their past, but they get mixed up in bad things when they move to town at the wrong time.
There is a subtle paranormal experience going on throughout the book that you are not sure if it has something to do with the murders, if the character is crazy, or if in fact you are the one who is going crazy. I love the way the author weaves the story together to keep you guessing throughout. There were times I felt the narrators were very unreliable, and other times when I was fully on their side. I loved being pulled back and forth.
