This was a pretty enjoyable read. I didn’t find it super memorable, but it is also still a book I’d recommend to someone. With that said, I really didn't find this book scary at all! There was maybe one or two scenes that were creepy, but not scary. There are some creepy things the kids say, but again I didn't find that scary.

I did enjoy the story line of this book - the theme of loss and family was very touching. I enjoyed the twists and connections that I didn't see coming! That definitely added to the story for me. I really like when a writer can sneak in some connections or events and surprises the reader.

Unfortunately I did find the ending to be lackluster. It really left me wanting more.

If you enjoy thrillers but don't want to be scared, this would be a good book to check out! It will keep your attention, without giving you nightmares or the heebie jeebies!
