Horror is so hard for me to enjoy in book form, but just with the sample provided, I'm super interested in where this story is going. Written in multiple perspectives is promising as it makes me want to know how all the characters are intertwined, and all of the characters sound super interesting, two cops, a writer father and his son, and possibly one of the victims? I am however hesitant about some characters falling into cliches, which is why I tend not to read horror literature. The redeeming quality seems to be how seamlessly the author switches between the different personalities of the characters and their relationships.
