I loved the way the book was written. Each chapter of each narrative leaves you with a cliffhanger and so you are drawn to read the next chapter of the next narrative so that you can get back to the original one. And so in that, it is a real page turner. However, once I got to the ending, I was waiting for something big to happen or for a huge twist. In fact, once I finished the book, I was like "huh?" All of the narratives felt unfinished by the end of the book-- which maybe means there is a sequel? I'm not sure. BUT I did really enjoy the style of writing and the spookiness of this book. Fears of children are very real and scary in and of themselves-- so once you pull child-like fears into an adult fiction book, it makes the book especially creepy.
