I have mixed feelings
Let me start off by saying that this book did not keep me on the edge of my seat and wasn't really a whodunit. We find out who the murderer is halfway through the book. But I really did enjoy reading about the reasons and the gruesome things that happen in serial killers minds. It honestly didn't scare or terrify me though. Maybe I just can't be spooked. I still need to make sense of that ending though. It really traumatized me though when I read about Francis and his relationship with his father. It was also about little kids so it hurt a lot more than reading about adults. It did bore me a bit though, some parts were just really hard to get through. Overall, it was a pretty good book but wasn't great either. I wish I got to see more of Pete and even more of DI Beck. I loved those characters and I didn't see enough of them. I loved Jake so much and I thought he was the smartest boy ever when he got kidnapped. But I would definitely give this book a thumbs up!
