I went into this book a bit anxious that it might be too creepy for me to read. It turned out to be just the right amount of creepy and suspense. The twists were surprising and the build up was good. We have a couple of mysteries to solve and one detective trying to pull these both together and the story does a great job with that. One of the best parts of this book for me wasn’t even the hint for the Whisper Man but the relationship between father and son. It is wonderful to watch this relationship on several levels. As with so many thrillers, I did have moments where I screamed “why” at the book, because, obviously, I would head in the other direction. But that helps make the story and I am okay with that.
