This was a long book but well worth the time you'll put into it. I'm usually not a huge fan of detective thrillers. I'm more into a mystery or psychological suspense type of book and that is not what this book is. However, there are plenty of twists throughout the book to keep you interested and to keep you guessing. There is also plenty of character and plot development to keep you from skipping ahead just to find out what the ending is. I could not guess the end although I kept trying. The more that was revealed the more I thought I had the ending figured out, but alas I was wrong and ended up being surprised. I kept rooting for the main character and his son hoping they would make it through the book in one piece, physically and mentally. Was not disappointed.
