The Whisper Man introduces us to two set of characters who eventually converge to help track down a notorious killer known to an area as "The Whisper Man". One set of characters, Amanda and Pete, are the investigatory police that end up assigned to the current case (one of whom is still emotionally attached to a previous case) of the other set of characters, Tom and Jack.

I personally struggled with the investigatory chapters in the beginning as I found myself plodding through them and the information instead of enjoying it and wanting more. I'm not sure that it's really the author's fault but more of a personal preference: I do not enjoy detective novels.

I did, however, love the creepy aspects of the book as we got more information from Tom and Jack and why exactly the killer is called "The Whisper Man". When our two sets of character converge, the book became more enjoyable for me and I found the climax of the book, and the points leading directly up to it, had the appropriate amount of twists. The ending was satisfying, and I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys suspense or novels with detective aspects.
