This book was okay, but compared to how much hype there was about it the book was seriously underwhelming. I'd read reviews with people saying "oh my God, I'm sleeping with the lights on/moving my bed away from the window/not going to be comfortable being home alone for a long time!", etc. I guess those people don't read a lot of psychological thrillers then, because I didn't get what all the fuss was about.

The best/most shocking part of the book to me was the fact that Pete was Tom's dad. I was massively upset that Pete died, but I was happy that Pete and Tom kind of got to know one another and Pete got to spend some time with his grandson. I was also happy that the kid was okay. But the book as a whole wasn't a standout, to me. Sorry! All opinions are of course my own.
