I was expecting to really love this, but unfortunately, this book did not live up to the hype for me. The premise was really intriguing, but the book was not as creepy as I was hoping.

Twenty years ago, children in Featherbank were being abducted and killed by a mysterious killer known as The Whisper Man. Now another child has been abducted just as Tom and his son, Jake, move to Featherbank. Two detectives are working tireessly to find the missing child. Meanwhile, Jake begins to hear whispering outside his window.

I expected more horror, but this read like a detective crime book. I was hoping the narrative would focus on Tom and Jake, but the POVs changed multiple times, giving POVs from both detectives, Tom, and Jake. I never felt shocked or surprised over anything that happened in the book and it wrapped up very quickly considering how the book dragged on at times.
