Did not hold thrill factor

I had extremely high hopes for this book because I love a good, creepy thriller. I had heard a lot of good things about this one too. The first half of the book was very fast paced, quick moving and had me scared to get out of my car, at night. It sets up such a stage for an unknown timeline of events. The characters of Tom and Jake were understandable and easy to follow along with. They were engaging and had creative personalities. I enjoyed the different points of view as well. After the first half of the book the pace slows down and it really lost all creepy thrill factor. You knew what was coming so it didn’t scare me like the first half. After the police talk to Tom and Jake when the man tried to get in the house there is barely anymore creep factor. The second half was for too predictable. There were some more moments that made me surprised and made me think. But I wish that creep momentum would have continued.
