This has to be one of the scariest books I have ever read in my entire life and that says a lot since I am a giant Stephen King and Horror fan in general. This book grabbed my attention from the first page on. While I was reading and genuinely terrified my dog barked at something and I shrieked out loud. This happened in broad daylight mind you. Alex North has without a doubt created a Horror masterpiece which will stay in people's minds for a long, long time. I was so scared for the little boy and couldn't turn the pages fast enough. The writing leaves you so devastated and creates a fear inside yourself not to many authors are capable of doing. After all they are just words, right? This book was by far my favorite of 2019 and I have a feeling his follow up will do that for my in 2020.
